There are two ways you can duplicate an existing deal.
First is the basic duplicate deal option: this will copy only the client profile (fact find) section of the deal.
Second is the duplicate with loan tools: this will copy the complete broker/asset finance tools along with the client profile section.
Duplicate deal (client profile)
In Salestrekker there is an option to copy an existing deal and all fact find information stored inside. To use this option:
Open the deal you wish to duplicate
Click on the Edit deal (Green pen) icon in top right
Scroll down the drop down menu until you see option "Duplicate deal"
Click to start
Select the Workflow, Stage and Deal Owner for the copied deal
Note: For asset finance deals you can also choose if the copy should be a consumer or commercial deal
Confirm with "Save" button

You can then customize the duplicated deal further and create a separate deal with the same contact(s). This is the most effective way to use existing client profile information for new application.
This basic option of the "Duplicate deal" feature will copy all the information from Client profile (income, assets, liabilities..), however broker tools section will remain empty so you can have an easier way to write and structure a new loan for existing clients.
Duplicate deal and loan tools
If you would like to duplicate your deal with broker tools,
Open the deal you wish to duplicate
Click on the Edit deal (Green pen) icon in top right
Scroll down the drop down menu until you see option "Duplicate deal and..."
in home loan deals choose "Duplicate deal and home loan tools" option
in asset finance deals, this will be titled "Duplicate deal and asset finance tools"
Select this option and your desired action will be completed immediately.
This will create a copy that contains the whole Client Profile and Broker/Asset Finance Tool details from original deal.
This option will also copy any files you've uploaded to the original deal.
Documents that were created either manually or via automatization (document merge), emails, notes and tasks are not duplicated.
Only the documents which were manually uploaded to the deal will be copied.
With the tools copy option, deals will be copied in the same workflow and stage as the original. There won't be an additional option to choose a different stage or deal owner with this duplicate.
If you have any email / SMS automation for that stage it will be sent to clients.
