By following the steps below you can simply remove Tax File Number from the documents in your deal and protect sensitive information.
How do I redact TFNs from documents in Salestrekker?
Simply upload your document in a deal, click on the 'Redact TFN' icon next to it and the redacted file will replace your existing document.
Redact Tools only works on text PDF.s, original documents, and will not work on scanned or copied versions of the original document.
TFN option will work only if the TFN is formatted like 123 456 789 and will redact any other number sequence formatted the same.
Note: By redacting document(s), the original document(s) will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
To redact TFNs from documents, please follow these instructions:
1. In 'Deal view', click on 'Upload file(s)' tab.
2. Drag and drop file(s) and then click on the 'Upload' button.
Once file is added to the deal, go to the Documents tab where you'll see 'Redact TFN' icon next to it.
3. Click on the 'Redact TFN' button in the documents options.
4. The 'Redact document(s)' pop-up window will appear. Click on the '✔ REDACT' button.
5. The 'TFN redaction in document(s) is in progress' message will appear at the bottom of the screen.
6. Once the TFNS are redacted from the document, the 'TFN redaction in document(s) has finished' message will appear at the bottom of the screen.
The original document will be overwritten with the redacted document. Click on the 'Download' button to view the redacted document.
