Broker Tools in Salestrekker 2.0 are features tailored specifically for brokers, enabling streamlined operations for home loans, asset finance, and commercial loans. This guide covers how to access and configure Broker Tool settings, including tool settings, lenders, commission groups, commission contracts, and financial position buffers.

Accessing Broker Tools Settings

  • Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

  • Click on Broker Tools.

Here, you will find the following configuration options: Tool Settings, Lenders, Commission Groups, Commission Contracts, and Financial Position Buffers.

Tool Settings

This section allows you to activate the types of broker tools that your organization will use. You can switch on/off tools based on the type of deals your organization handles, such as home loans, commercial loans, and asset finance.

Activating Broker Tools:

Toggle the switches to enable Home Loan Tools, Commercial Loan Tools, or Asset Finance Tools.

Additional options for each tool, such as Home Loan Needs Analysis, can be customized based on the compliance needs of your organization.

Commission Fields:

Configure relevant commission fields based on your commissioning system. These fields determine which information will be sent to lenders during a deal submission. Options include displaying commission username, contract, and more.

Lenders

Managing Lenders

Lenders must be added to the system for them to be available in deals. Only active lenders will appear as options for users.

Adding Lenders:

  • Click the Add Lender button to add a lender for Home Loan or Asset Finance.

  • Select the lender from the drop-down list, tick the box for commission and enter relevant commission details. Press "Save" to apply.

Editing Lenders:

  • You can edit lender details, mark them as inactive (to preserve historical data but stop new deals), or delete them entirely.

Commission Groups

Commission groups define how commissions are split between your organization, brokers, partners, and other stakeholders.

Adding Commission Groups:

Click Add Commission Group and define the split for either home loans or asset finance.

Assign dynamic fields and relevant parties to receive a share of the commission.

Configuring Commission Splits:

Input absolute values or percentages for upfront and trail commissions. This ensures transparent and accurate commission distribution.

Commission Contracts

Commission Contracts Overview

This section allows you to create and manage commission contracts that will be applied during deal submissions.

Adding Commission Contracts:

  • Click the Add Contract button, enter a contract name, description, and assign users who can utilize these contracts.

  • These contracts specify which agreement applies to a deal, ensuring accurate documentation for compliance and commission tracking.

Financial Position Buffers

Financial Position Buffers

This section enables organizations to set default buffer values used in financial scenarios and calculations, particularly for monthly financial position assessments.

Configuring Financial Position Buffers:

  • Input default values for fields such as Income, Existing Repayment, Proposed Repayment, Credit Card, and HEM.

  • These buffers simulate financial scenarios to ensure clients can service loans even in adverse conditions.

Properly configuring Broker Tools in Salestrekker 2.0 ensures that your organization operates smoothly and complies with industry standards. From lender management to commission splits and financial calculations, these settings are vital for mortgage brokers working within the Salestrekker system.
