Using Connect to send SMS

How to send SMS in Salestrekker? How to store SMS message as a note to a deal?

Send SMS from Connect Centre


To send SMS from Salestrekker open Connect centre button in top main menu (1) and choose 'Phones and Messages' (2).

The messaging window opens up in the bottom right corner. You can expand it for better view (3).

You can type the recipient number in or use the built in dial pad (4).

NOTE: AU numbers should be formatted like this: 61490265783 (country code without "+" and without 0 behind it).

You can use a pre-created template for your message or type one out in the SMS field (5).

NOTE: Merge keys do not work for direct SMS. They are compatible only with automation SMS and marketing SMS.

To send your message, click the 'Send' icon (6).

The sent message will appear on the right part of the window.

If your message was sent to a client with an open deal, you can add that message to their deal as a note (7):

  • First click the 'add to deal' button', then, from the popup window, first choose the workflow (8) then the client's deal (9) and save (10).


Send SMS from Deal

Another way you can send direct SMS messages to clients is from their deal.

When you enter the deal, click on contact's phone number (11) and choose option 'SMS' (12).

This will open Connect center automatically with client's correctly formatted number.

NOTE: One SMS has a limit of 160 characters. If your message has text over that limit, this will use two or more of your SMS credits (depending on the size of the message).

Rented phones cannot be used for SMS.
