On the homepage of a deal, you will see a sidebar on the left that contains a tab labeled 'Change deal'.

This tab can be expanded or collapsed by clicking on it.

From the 'Change deal' tab you can:

  • Edit the basic deal details

  • Add or remove deal labels

  • Move to another workflow

  • Change the deal status and

  • Create a copy of the deal

Edit deal

From the 'Edit deal' section, you can:

  1. Change the basic deal information (contact, deal title, deal owner, team members, stage, deal value, finance due date, estimated settlement date and summary notes)

  2. Add or remove deal labels

  3. Add or edit information in the custom fields

Add/remove labels

This is where you can add or remove deal labels.

Please keep in mind that deal labels must be created in the settings before they can be selected here.

Move to another workflow

From here you can transfer deals to a different workflow by choosing the desired workflow and stage from the drop-down fields.

Change deal status

In the 'Change deal' section, you have the ability to modify the deal status.

You can enter the date of the status change, choose should it overwrite settlement option or not, and add a short note about the new status change.

Available system statuses are:

  • Created

  • Lodged

  • Settled

  • Payed

  • Discharged

  • Not proceeding

The available status options may differ depending on the current status of the deal.

For example, non-lodged deals cannot change status to "settled", and non-settled deals cannot change the status to "payed".

Along with deal statuses, a deal may also be classified as a specific "State" based on certain conditions.

Deals can be in one of the following states:

  • Open - for created, lodged and settled deals

  • Closed - for payed, discharged or not proceeding

  • Stale - this indicates the number of days the deal has been in a stage according to the predetermined "stale after x days" stage settings

  • Due and overdue - depends on deal settlement date

  • Switched/ refixed - deal status must be settled first; will show for switched or refixed deals

  • Ready for verification or verified - deals waiting on mentor approval and deals that have been approved

  • Posted to commission - when deal has been posted to commission

You can view the current status and state of a deal on the "Overview" page, as well as on the deal tile if you have enabled this option in your personalization settings.

Duplicate deal

The 'Duplicate' option will create a copy of the existing deal.
