Mentoring functionality

How to complete the mentorship process in Salestrekker 2.0? Request mentor approval. Approve/reject mentee applications as mentor.

Salestrekker 2.0 includes a mentoring feature that requires mentees to obtain approval from their assigned mentor before submitting their application to the Lender.

Roles

In Salestrekker 2.0 there are four distinct roles associated with this feature - two for mentors and two for mentees:

  • Mentor Team Admin and Mentor Team Member

  • Mentee Team Admin and Mentee Team Member

Setup process

By having the appropriate access (master admin role), you have the ability to create a user for either a mentor or mentee position.

You can do this from the enterprise level, creating and setting up a new account or editing an existing one from the User Management tab in settings.

Alternatively, you can directly assign the appropriate role from within the user's organisation by navigating to the Settings > Users tab and selecting a mentor/mentee roles (drop-down field under Roles column), also assign mentors to mentees from there (Actions menu).


Approval request by Mentee

The mentee will not have access to the Lodgement tab to continue the application to lender gateways until it is approved by the mentor.

The mentee broker will first need to go through the process of completing all necessary deal information in the Client Profile and Broker Tools sections.

Once this is done, they will navigate to the Summary tab, where they can submit a request for the mentor to review and approve the deal for submission.

If the request is processed successfully, a note will be generated in the deal Notes section.


Approval process by Mentor

If a mentee's broker seeks approval from their designated mentors, the mentors will be notified via email and in-app notifications about the request.

After logging into the mentee broker's organisation and reviewing the application, the mentor can proceed to the Summary tab in Broker Tools.

From there, they can either approve the mentee's application if it is deemed accurately structured, or reject it if they notice any necessary corrections that must be made before the mentee can proceed with lodgement.

Their decision will also be captured in deal Notes.

The mentee will receive a notification of the mentor's decision.
