Working inside contact details in Salestrekker 2.0

Contact View is the place where you can store and access your contacts' information.

Accessing Contact View

You can open Contact View from any contact related item (deals, tasks, main contacts page).

From Deal View

In deals you open the contact details page by clicking on the three dots icon next to your contact's name and select 'Go to (name of your client)' option.

When in task view, you can access the contact linked to the task by clicking the 'Assigned to person' tile.

To access the contact details page from the main Contacts list, simply click on the tile of the contact you wish to view.

Contact View Tabs

Main elements of Contact View are:

Overview: contains a brief summary of the contact, labels, relationships to other contacts, latest contents and files.

Notes: contains all contact related notes. They can be filtered, narrowed down by search, expanded to show note comments, archived, edited, labeled, marked as important or shared to client portal.

Tasks: contains all contact related tasks. They can be filtered, narrowed down by search, expanded to show more task details, archived, edited or labeled.

Files: contains all contact related files. They can be filtered, narrowed down by search, expanded to show more file details, sent to client for signature, downloaded, previewed, renamed, shared on client portal, labeled, locked or deleted.

Custom fields: contains all contact pre-made custom fields.

Current deals: contains all currently open contact's deals

Completed deals: contains all contact's closed deals

Activity Log: log listing updates made to the contact


Edit Contact

To edit existing contact data while in Contact View, click on the 'Change contact' option from left sidebar, then click 'Edit'.

In Edit page you will be able to :

  1. See and edit contact's General Information

  2. Edit the contact's Ownership

  3. Add/remove Labels

  4. Populate Custom Fields

To confirm any changes made to the contact, kindly press the 'Save' button located at the bottom of the page.


Contact Finance Profile

Contact's Finance Profile is a handy tool for a quick overview of contact's main financial information.

It is accessed through the left sidebar menu in contact view.

Please note that if you enter these details in the contact information section first, you will be unable to import them into new or existing deals.

Uses of Contact Financial Profile

  • Automatically update assets, liabilities, income, expenses & insurance when a deal settles

  • View clients position on one screen during periodic client reviews

In contact's finance profile you will be able to see the following data:

  • Real estate assets

  • Other assets

  • Liabilities

  • Income

  • Expenses

  • Insurance

How is Contact Finance Profile updated?

In order to automatically update the contact's finance profile with the most recent deal data you will need to Settle their deal.

This is done through the Change Deal tab > Settled option.

Next tab will prompt you to enter the 'Settlement date' and 'Settlement option'.

If you choose 'Overwrite' for the 'Settlement option', this will complete the automatic update of the contact's finance profile with the most recent data from the deal (Assets, Liabilities, Income, Expenses & Insurance).

It will also includes the newly acquired asset(s) & loan(s).

Quick Actions

The Quick Actions feature in Contact View serves as a shortcut to add new notes, tasks, or upload files.


Other Advisers

In this section you can add details about your contact's accountants, various financial or insurance agents, solicitors, etc.

Please note that if you enter these details in the contact information section first, you will be unable to import them into new or existing deals.


Email to Notes

Salestrekker 2.0 now offers improved contact features, including the ability to forward external emails to the Contact Notes section.

Users can use the 'Copy email to notes' option in the Contact View, then paste the address into the 'To' field of their email application to send the email to the contact notes.

Emails can only be sent or forwarded to contact notes from the email address associated with the contact owner, team members and contact.
