Preparing & Sending eSign Request
To initiate the document signing request head over to the deal 'Files' tab and click the three dots icon next to the document:
Once you've done this, on the next window you'll have the option to select the clients you want to sign the document:
Please leave the 'Users' selection empty when the broker's signature isn't required.
After selecting your clients and pressing the 'Send' button, you'll be prompted to review the document before finally sending the request.
If the document is complete and all signature fields are correctly positioned, you may finalise the request by clicking the 'Send Envelope' button.
If the request was sent successfully, you will see a confirmation message and a deal note will be created, documenting the request and listing all individuals selected to sign the document.
Aggregator compliance documents include pre-inserted signature fields for clients.
If you are using these documents, you may skip the instructions for adding signature fields below.
Adding signature and date fields
If you are using your own custom or lender documents, signature fields will not be automatically included when sending the eSign request.
Therefore, you will need to manually add the signature and date fields for each individual within the request preparation window.
When you select your clients and get to the document review and preparation window, first scroll to the page of the document where their signatures should be placed (usually last page of document).
Next, in the left-side menu, select the client from the 'Recipients' field whose signature you want to add to the document.
After selecting the client, click on the 'Signature' option, then drag and drop the signature field onto the desired location within the document.
Repeat for 'Date signed' field.
Changing the recipient will change the color of the fields, to show who the signature field is referring to.
You're also able to change each signature fields behaviour using the right side menu after selecting a field.
You can adjust it's size in the document & weather it's required or not for the signature to be completed.
Due to privacy reason brokers will not receive eSign related BCC emails.
Signing the Request
Everyone included in the signature request will receive the eSign request in their email.
To complete the request locate the email titled:
"Your signature is required in document(s)" & click on the 'Sign Document' button.
Please check Spam/Junk folder in case you can't find the request in your inbox.
If the request landed in the Spam/Junk folder, move it to Inbox.
This will open a new tab where you can complete the request.
You'll need to press 'Review Document' to proceed.
You can then review the document and when you're ready to sign, press the 'Click to continue' button in the top right corner which will take you to the first eSign field.
Next, pressing the 'Sign here' button will take you to the signature placement window.
You'll have a selection of different styles, including picking pre-made signature types with your name, the option to draw it yourself or uploading your signatures image if you have one.
You can also draw the signature via your phone by selecting the 'Complete on mobile'.
This will create a QR code you can scan with your phone, and you'll be able to draw the signature on your phone.
To complete the request you'll need to press the 'Finish signing' button in the top right corner or bottom of the page.
You can safely close the window when the page changes to 'Thank you for signing this document'.
Signature Deal Notes
You can keep track of who signed the document via deal notes.
The fully signed copy will be available only after all requested parties have signed the document.
The signed document will be sent via email to everyone who signed it and will also be uploaded to the deal 'Files' tab.
You can also find it attached to the last signature completion deal note.
