General Information

There are two types of users in Salestrekker: admin (sees everything) and non-admin (access rights are managed by permissions).

One admin can also be the organisation owner with responsibility for billing.

Password Policy

Making sure your organization accounts are most secure, it is highly recommended to enforce a strong password policy.

This will ensure that all users (your staff and team members) have strong passwords, that will lead to high security of your Salestrekker organization.

Options you can set for this policy are:

  • password expiry time limit

  • password length

  • password to contain at least one lowercase letter (eg. a, b, c)

  • password to contain at least one uppercase letter (eg. A, B, C)

  • password to contain at least one digit (eg. 1, 2, 3)

  • password to contain at least one symbol (eg. !, @, #)

Some of our aggregator run deployments already enforce a strong Password Policy and have this section locked for editing in individual organizations.

Actions Permissions

Certain actions can be restricted to non-admin users. These can be managed under the Settings > Permissions section and they include:

  • Editing deals (pen icon from Deal View)

  • Moving deals (through Workflows and Stages)

  • Exporting reports (downloading reports as an Excel file)

  • Seeing commissions splits in deals (in deal Asset Finance/Broker Tools)

Visibility Permissions

Non-admins can have three access levels:

  • Users can see only their own deals/tasks/contacts/filters;

  • Users can see all deals in a workflow they are added to as a member (including deals of other users from the same workflow);

  • Users can see everything (no visibility restrictions)

For non-admin users we advise you to select Visibility on all switches to:

  • "OWNERS" (to see only Deals and Contacts where they are marked as owner and also deals where they are added as team members) and

  • "WORKFLOW" should be set to "Visibility for other users" (for adding other users from same workflow to their deals, such as assistants).

This will ensure best data privacy.

Examples of different permission setup and their impact are covered in this article.
